The ACRPS is pleased to announce the publication of the eleventh issue of its biannual peer-reviewed journal Ostour. The articles in this issue include "The Hermeneutic Approach to History: Towards Involving the Historian in the Interpretation of Historical Texts" by Brahim Elkadiri Boutchich; "Memory Studies in the Social Sciences and Humanities: International Interest, Arab Neglect" by Zouheir Soukah;  "The Geography of History in Light of Interdisciplinarity; An Attempt to Reshape the Concept" by Ali el-Salah Moula; "Prosopography; An Approach to Studying Elites and Social Groups" by Rajae Ankoud; "Water and Settlement in Ancient North Africa" by Samir Aït Oumghar "Ceuta in the Strategy of the Powers of the Western Mediterranean (Part 2)" by Mohamed Cherif; and "Proving and Silencing: How Palestinian Fighters Ended 'Annexation' (15 May 1948 – January 1949) in the writings of Qassem Al Rimawi on al-Jihad al-Muqaddas" by Bilal Mohammed Shalash.

This issue's translation is of Hayden White's "the Value of Narrativity in the Representation of Reality," prepared by Thaer Deeb. The Book Reviews section comprises two reviews: Trade in Wadi Noun during the 19th Century and the Early 20th Century by Bouzid Laghla and the Socio-Cultural and Economic Structures of the Ottoman Empire by Kheireddine Saidi.

The Documents section comprises a study by Pierre Moukarzel on Notes on the translation of the texts of treaties concluded between the Mamluk sultans and the Italian cities. The issue concludes with the second part of the proceedings of the Ostour Seminar held on 29-30 April 2019 in cooperation with the Doha Institute's history department, titled Arab Historians and their Sources.
