The issue's Translations section features two articles: "Le catéchisme révolutionnaire" by François Furet (translated by Mohamed Houbaida) and "The Social and Economic Circumstances of Tripoli in the Mid-17th Century (According to the Tahrir Defteri Dated 1645)" by Enver Çakar (translated by Ghina Mrad).
Book reviews include Hasan Hafdi Aloui's analysis of Fragmented Identities and the Diaspora of Elites on the Margins of the Islamic World by Lotfi Ben Miled and Abdellah Herhar's review of From the Year of the Elephant to the Year of Lamerican: Oral Memory and the Historical Record by Abdelahad Sebti. Next, the Primary Sources section includes Nasser Ahmed Ibrahim's study "Rosetta, Summer of 1799: A Reading into Oil and Rice Documents".
The issue concludes with the Ostour Symposium section, featuring the second set of papers from the symposium on "The Experience of Historical Writing in Morocco: Contexts and Trends" held on 27-29 October 2022. The three studies included are: "History and Society" by Abdelmajid Kaddouri; "Writing Social and Intellectual History in Light of the Experience of the Training and Research Unit: The Economic and Social History of the Islamic West" by Ibrahim al-Qadiri Boutchiche; and "Research Findings in Ottoman and Iranian Studies in Morocco" by Abderrahim Benhadda.
