Highlights on the Outcome of Archaeological Research at Ancient Historical Sites Through Moroccan Writings

This paper aims to shed light on the outcome of archaeological research on ancient historical sites through Moroccan writings. The first part of the paper deals with the development of archaeological research in Morocco, starting with the establishment of the Moroccan Antiquities Service, while its second part reviews the steography of archaeological research in Morocco during the period 1956-2020, based on a work of more than 300 titles. Accordingly, the third part of the paper deals with a thematic cataloging of the results of archaeological research in Morocco after independence. From tradition, to consolidating local identity.
