Abdulrahman Alebrahim

Abdulrahman Alebrahim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History. He earned his PhD from the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter, UK. His research primarily explores the modern history of the Gulf and the Arabian Peninsula, with a special focus on the northern regions—Kuwait, Najd, and Al-Zubayr—examining the historical sources of the sheikhdoms in the 19th and 20th centuries through a critical lens. He is also passionate about uncovering marginalized and untold histories within the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula, including the history of slavery, cultural history, religious thought, and social history. His work has been published in several articles and books in both Arabic and English.
