This paper details the number of historical studies on Moroccan Jews, their content, Judaism in the metropolis and the desert, and the nature of the interactions affecting the structure of Moroccan society, based on diverse documentary material. Some of them are Moroccan (disasters, fatwas, stored archives, etc.), and some are foreign (consular and embassy documents, descriptions of travelers and diplomats, etc.). The paper is concerned with various historical periods, with a special focus on the contemporary period. Given the severity of the economic and social upheavals that the noble Eyala witnessed, which had a direct impact on the entire social structure, especially on the relations between the Muslim majority and the Jewish minority, the matter became more severe during the period of the French and Spanish protectorates. The paper pointed out that this interest, from the logic of the development of historical research to the awareness of Moroccan historians, does not make it possible to understand historical development without giving the Jewish element the importance it deserves.
