A Thematic Reading of Moroccan Historiography in Writings on the History of Ancient Morocco

Abstract

​This paper counts more than 400 research papers that concern the history of Morocco in the period 1956-2020, and it serves as a scientific basis for exploring the most important historical topics, archaeological sites, and problems related to the history of ancient Morocco. In the paper, the thematic search is applied as a research methodology in the human and political sciences. In order to read and analyze digital data, as well as a thematic map. The paper is divided into four axes: the first is the Moroccan survey of the history of ancient Morocco, the second is a practical methodology within the ancillary sciences in the humanities, the third is the thematic map of the Moroccan survey on the history of ancient Morocco, and the fourth is concerned with the relationship between the Moroccan survey of writing the history of ancient Morocco and archaeological research, asking: Is it a relationship of intersection or complementarity?
