German Foreign Policy towards Turkey in the Context of the WWII: A Vision from a War Economy Perspective

​This study aims to draw out Nazi Germany's foreign policy towards the Turkish Republic from the perspective of a war economy focused on mobilizing vital resources during the war. It also illustrates the reaction of a young state, Turkey, only 16 years old on the eve of the war. Turkey did its utmost to avoid repeating the mistake of the Ottoman Empire, avoiding engaging in any military conflict under the slogan "Peace at home, peace abroad".
